My daughter worked very hard on her AQA HPQ project last year - the first year that her school have ever offered it. Her supervisor at school gave her a very good mark but when she got her results in August, it had been downgraded to a B. We have queried this with the school but apparently all the grades were moderated downwards and there is no possible appeal process unless they get all the projects in the school remarked which they are unwilling to do. It turns out that the projects that were moderated had some missing or incomplete components and that has had an effect on everyone's grades.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there anything at all we can do if the school are unwilling to help? She has received a lower grade because of other people's projects, not her own. This seems hugely unfair and makes the whole thing seem rather pointless!
If anyone has been in this situation and has any advice it would be much appreciated.
