Extra Spanish GCSE resources?

DD is starting year 11 and is worrying about Spanish (probably my fault as I've always said worry about the language last, focus on the cores of math's all sciences and English)😬
Anyway are there any resources other than the school usual ones that you know of? Such as online Youtube pages, or others that your children have found helpful?

thanks

Hi op MFL is my subect tho not Spanish.
I would recommend duolingo for her to use to feel more confident and fluent at the language. It is also worth buying the GCSE workbooks and revision guides from CGP; the revision guide gives the key things that need to be worked on (basically, verbs and vocab) and the work books, while not amazing, are useful for practice.

I think by this stage of yr 11 it is also worth looking at the structure of the exam and techniques needed to do well. I imagine past papers will be used in school for mocks, but there is no harm in looking at them and seeing what kind of answers are needed.

Is she doing Foundation or Higher? It makes a big difference in terms of what is needed to get a good grade. If she is looking at a 5 at best then I would strongly recommend the F paper as it is a lot more accessible, and working out some standard answers is genuinely possible.

Couple of options I’ve found (think I noted these down from someone from the student room forum who gave a load of suggestions for different languages):

www.newsinslowspanish.com - podcast, good for building up your listening skills
www.lawlessspanish.com - haven’t yet tried this but was recommended
