Help please - how likely is late entry to Stowe?

I'd really appreciate any insight into the likelihood of a late transfer to Stowe.

Our daughter has completed her first year (7) at a school that we were not able to visit, due to the timings and limitations of lockdown, and sadly it is really not what we were expecting at all. It had an absolutely rock-solid reputation for many years, but recently started accepting boys and seems to have totally crumbled and lost its way. Classes are hampered by a new and sizeable cohort of disruptive kids fro troubled backgrounds that seem to have joined after struggling in local comps)

We are looking at the possibility of moving our sporty, arty popular girl who is just above average academically with v mild dyslexia to Stowe in 2023 which would be 13+ entry. I know this is very late, but there are practical reasons behind finding ourselves in this position.

Has anyone else got any experience of arranging a late transfer to this school? Obviously we have been speaking to the school but I'd love to hear personal insight

Also been reading some very mixed glowing/appalling reviews which are making me nervous. Any insight from current parents would be super helpful.

Thank you so much

You’d probably still get a place for this Sept . People make last minute changes . Some get cold feet about boarding.
so for next sept I am quite sure you will be fine. Speak to the Registrar as they will have the lists for admissions.
