AQA strike snd delay to GCSE and a level results

Just read that apparently AQA staff are planning a strike snd this could delay results.

This sounds really worrying. My DDs sixth form place is conditional on GCSE results. There must be lots of other people in the same position.

Has this ever happened before?

The news says that the strike won't affect results day, and that 'robust' plans are in place.

This has been on the cards for a while, btw, so it's not without notice.

AQA have already written to schools saying it won’t delay results.

That’s good to know - thanks.

I'm not sure I'd mind if DD's retake result were delayed. We could carry on in blissful ignorance for a bit longer. Smile
Actually I don't even know how she'll get her result. Presumably it will be somewhere on her college portal login.

would staff threaten to strike if they didn’t think it would have an impact? Surely the whole point is that they believe they can delay results, whatever the board say.
