It's a good school by any measure. It has a very strong Catholic ethos and the pupil body is pretty much 100% Catholic as admissions are always oversubscribed.

New head seems to have settled in all right and there are some excellent teachers. DM me if you are interested in more.

no child likes change. Making new friends is the real concern but girls i talked to seemed genuinely nice and sympathetic.lack of Sixth form another slight concern.

Our experience has been that commitment to pastoral care is strong and that anti-bullying policy is enforced. Not sure if you have older DC but I'd also say that year 9 is when vileness and drama intensity around friendships and general teenage angst ramps right up.

I would not worry about there not being a sixth form, many young people in SE move post 16 anyway and all the sixth forms have to be realistic in their offer. Grade average of 6 with minimum 7 or above in A level subjects is the norm including the grammar school sixth forms in Bexley and Kent.

Perhaps perversely the local private schools with 6th forms all of which are all-through seem pickier about external candidates, probably because they pretty much guarantee their GCSE cohort that they can stay.
