My daughter has received an offer to Marylebone and Queen’s College. I’ve attended the two information sessions but are concerned by some of what I heard at Marylebone.
There was a big emphasis on the rules of behaviour and consequences eg detentions. I don’t have an issue with the rules, my concern is the tone they used when discussing them and the amount of time they chose to focus on them.
There was also a 5 mins lecture to parents on the need for smart black shoes as part of the uniform and not trainers, under any circumstances. Do parents really need to be lectured about ensuring their daughters have the right uniform?
It might not sound like much but it’s made me concerned there are discipline issues and poor adoption of the uniform - which explains them going on a few times about smart black shoes. And the whole tone and approach was so different to what I experienced at Queen’s.
Anyone have girls at Marylebone and can shed some light on what the school is like??
