Mount House

I have a daughter in year 9 who goes to St John's in the Ridgeway. She has been struggling there for the last year or so with no support of her mental health and not getting better. She was adamant she will stay and 'cope' but clearly she needs change though it is perhaps the worst time having in mind the GCSE. So, we have been thinking of moving her Mount House but I am still unsure how academically good they are. Although St John's is brilliant on paper and it worked well for my son (19 now) but for her is a nightmare.

I would love to hear some feedback from people who are there really. Thank you

hi, just found your post and bot sure if you're still looking to move, but my daughter moved from St John's to Mount House for year 8 (as did several of her friends) and she's super happy. She says Mount House is better in every way and has been asking to move there for ages. I actually really liked St John's, but my daughter didn't at all (too strict anf stuffy). Although she had no issues with the kids, she HATED the teachers. I know many people who made the move from St John's to Mount House and all are very happy.

Also Mount House gives a much broader choice of GCSE subjects
