Are there any current HSW parents who can give us their opinion on the school. We are considering it for our DS for Yr7 intake in 2023. We want a mixed school and one that is nurturing, we went to an open day and liked what we saw but just wondering if anyone has any views on the school from the new Head started in Sept 21. We like what we read about him but just wondered if there are any personal experience. Any info would be much appreciated.

We're interested too. Met the Head one to one and he was amazing, very child focused and dynamic. Know of a child who is current Y7 and they love it.

Would be interested in hearing more from parents of current pupils too.

Thank you for your response, that’s really good to hear, we are going to book a session to meet him. Let’s hope we hear from some others too.

My son is at Hall School Wimbledon in Year 8. He started there in Year 7. The new head (Mr Hammond) is very experienced, inspiring, enthusiastic and motivated. Staff and head are helpful and approachable. So far so good for us!

Hi, I also went to the open day and really like it (would also be for 2023 intake). My only slight concern is that there seemed to be a huge number of boys in that school compared to girls. My daughter is fine around boys but I think the boys outnumber the girls by a large number. Would also be interested to hear from any other parents whose children go there.

My DD is starting Y7 there in September - I’d be happy give some feedback after a term or so if anyone would like it?
So far, our dealings with the school have been really positive and she enjoyed the induction day! She’s excited to join the Minecraft and archery clubs 😅

Hi all

Just wondered if there were any more insights on the school? Does anyone know how they cater for children with ASD (mild)? Thanks!

Hello,

I would also love to hear from any parents / carers of girls who go here? Anyone have any experience of how they manage low level needs ASD?

Thanks in advance!

So a term in, I think DD is settling in ok! She loves the teachers and lessons, and there’s a physical activity every day - games or circuit training which she enjoys a lot.
They have a very good SENCO, and while DD isn’t diagnosed ASD, has some mild traits, and has an Ed psych report which puts her under their care. She has a weekly catch-up with someone, and because of the small classes, is quite well-known to her teachers - for good reasons!
