Sixth form open evenings

DC1 in Y10. Is it usual for parents to go to sixth form open evenings/days or just let offspring go on their own?

Parents normally go.

I work in a sixth form ours is next week, yep parents normally go 😀

At the college evenings I went to (for A levels & BTECs) there was a mix

• some pupils there on own or with friends


• some pupils there with parents but going round separately


• some pupils there with parents going round together, of these some had student doing the talking and others the parents


• some parents there by themselves

When we went I'd say all the kids had parents with them unless they were already at the school.
