Long summer plans

My DD is finishing her Alevels soon. University doesn’t start until October which gives a long summer.

She has some plans, few weeks working for a summer school, family holiday, but that still leaves a lot of time. She isn’t a partying / festival person, small group of friends but not a large social crowd.

What are your year 13 children planning this summer?

Holiday in Ibiza with friends (I'm trying not to think too hard about this!). Then family holiday with us - potentially the last one :(

Then he's hoping to get a job (he gave up his previous part time job to focus on exams). He needs some sort of income to fund the round of socialising planned anyway! His friends are going onto a mix of jobs/university/apprenticeships so the long summer isn't so much a thing though.

Most of my friends' kids got jobs after maybe a post A level trip somewhere with mates. For many of them it was the first time they ever worked a five day week and were surprised how tiring it was! The rest of the time socialising and sitting out stuff for university if going.

Thanks. The summer school will be good experience, it is 6 days a week but only for 6 weeks.

Interesting to hear of others plans.
