Is Bohunt Lipook a good school? There was a BBC program about the school, did anyone watch the program? And any changes about the school since the program was broadcasted in 2015?

The programme wasn't about the school as such. As I understand it, the kids volunteered to be part of that programme in their holidays. It's not how the school actually usually teaches but was to show the difference in teaching methods. It did have a Mandarin emersion programme for one class out of their 10-12 form entry but the language for that progamme changes. It has been Spanish and French in recent years. I'm not sure when they last did Mandarin as an emersion programme. I think it is still a possible GCSE choice there. There are other threads on here about Bohunt generally. It has a good reputation but is very big so maybe not for everyone.

My son is taking GCSE Mandarin at a different school in the BET academy. It's compulsory for Year 7 and 8 in this school and then one of the MFL choices for GCSE options. Not sure if that's the same across all BET schools though.

My son's school is very competitive so great if you are sporty and academic but generally considered awful with SEN provision.
