My dd's male drama teacher asked her to enact out a scene where she walks in on her husband sleeping with another woman. She's 13. AIBU or is this acceptable?

I’m a drama teacher and think that this is a bit off. Sometimes kids of that age come up with scenarios like this themselves when devising a scene, but it is not something I would ever ask a yr8 pupil to do. Was it part of a published text?

They're studying Maya Angelou's Stlii I Rise.

Of course it's not appropriate. FFS. Where is this man's common sense?

Thanks. It didn't sit well with me. It wasn't part of a text - he was just testing emotion and reaction. I'm sure there were tons of alternate scenarios he could have chosen! Think I might put in a complaint. My daughter said it made them feel awkward and weird . She's in a girls only school.
