Hello dear mums.
I understand that Worcester Park has a tricky situation with the Secondary Schools. Would you be able to help me to better understand what people do in Worcester Park, where do they send their children? It seems the closest one ( I am looking at WP closer to North Cheam) is Cheam High school, but i checked and it seems that Worcester Park is not in the catchment at all. I am about to buy a house there, but I don't want to move again after I fell in love with the area just to find a secondary school :(. Please help me to understand what parents do?

Glenthorne offers priority for some children in Worcester Park. I don't know if that would cover where you are looking. There are also aptitude places at Greenshaw plus the grammar schools.

I am not that local so not sure where the majority go if they aren't aiming at those places mentioned above.

Cheam High also have priority places for Worcester Park. Check their admissions policy - I think it's 30 places.

Thank you so much! It is a relief to hear that :)

If you are in the WP catchment for Glenthorne then you're all good. Its a very good school.

You need to go on all the council websites and school websites and carefully check catchments. I’d be inclined to take quite a bit of distance off too. WP is being more popular as people are being priced out of New Malden/Raynes Park. You’d be mad to move without being sure of secondary schools though eg Coombe Boys is prob out of catchment.
