MrsPnut · 06/06/2022 19:44

6 this week for DD, 2 tomorrow and Wednesday and then one each on Thursday and Friday.

I’m feeling it more than she is right now.

Me too @MrsPnut It’s quite exhausting. I am looking forward to throwing out the notes as much as DD is!

TonyBlairsLover · 06/06/2022 20:44

Got my maths paper 2 and a level spanish listening tomorrow 😭😭 unfortunately they clash so I have to do it back to back

TonyBlairsLover · 06/06/2022 20:44

Off to bed now gals, good luck for your DC! Make sure to get an early night

legosnowqueen · 06/06/2022 21:17

@TonyBlairsLover two back to back is tough, sleep well, best of luck tomorrow 🤞

daffodilandtulip · 06/06/2022 21:57

This week is full on and we can feel it in the air! German went well today. Maths and Geography tomorrow.

Had tears today because we thought a teacher had lost some coursework, but it was a miscommunication. But oh, the drama!

PaddingtonPaddington · 06/06/2022 21:58

Maths paper 2 and Geography paper 2 tomorrow for DS then he’ll be half way through the exams - thank goodness. Good luck all for tomorrow

aramox1 · 07/06/2022 06:20

First subject finished here- German. What a heavy week this is, 2 papers most days. Ds nearly late yesterday too with transport issues- a bit hair raising. Unseen poetry coming up this week seems a big mystery! They did it at the last minute.
Heard ds up past midnight last night, he went to bed after German (!) then was revising late. Odd to think the next normal school day is Sept.

pinkroseapp · 07/06/2022 07:46

Good luck to all DC!

My DS had German writing yesterday. He has just gone off to his Maths exam, also having Geography this afternoon. Only 4 exams to go after today. Hooray 😃!

LouisCatorze · 07/06/2022 07:50

Good luck to everyone's DC today!

MrsScrubbingbrush · 07/06/2022 07:54

Good luck everyone.

Maths 2 & Geography 2 for DD1, just Maths for DD2 today.

Then Macbeth & unseen poetry for both tomorrow,

Like most DC, a heavy couple of weeks for them.

TeenPlusCat · 07/06/2022 07:55

Best wishes to everyone doing maths today, especially @TonyBlairsLover

Rollergirl11 · 07/06/2022 07:56

Good luck for all DC’s today. We have Maths Paper 2 this morning and Geography this afternoon. DD went in for 7.30 so it’s gonna be a long day for her.

TonyBlairsLover · 07/06/2022 08:19

41 minutes till the exam!

MirandaWest · 07/06/2022 08:22

Maths and Geography here as well. DD seemed OK as she went off to school. Am
hoping all her maths practice helps her this morning 😊

TonyBlairsLover · 07/06/2022 08:53

8 minutes to go and the examiner hasn’t set up the classroom arghhh

Silkierabbit · 07/06/2022 08:56

Good luck Tony I know my DD says you can start up to 30 mins late and still have full time so it should be OK still but not what you need right now esp with another exam later. Hope it goes OK, and you get you pass. Think you will.

Fizbosshoes · 07/06/2022 08:57

DD has done barely any revision over the half term (despite multiple suggestions/reminders) and both of us mistakenly thought she had 3 exams this week, when she actually has 4.

Yesterday at around 10pm while scrolling on her phone she said "oh shit equations of a circle are going to be on it" and proceeded to put a YouTube tutorial on working them out. Apparently just to remind herself. The last one she felt quite confident about so hopefully this one goes well too.

TonyBlairsLover · 07/06/2022 08:59

@Silkierabbit ty! Good luck for your DD to :)

SeaDogs · 07/06/2022 08:59

Anyone else’s child bizarrely relaxed about getting to their exams? We were due to leave at 8.30, called up to DS at 8.20 who shouted back he was ready. Called up again at 8.30 and he’d got in the shower! Honestly, was like some awful stress dream. We made it with 5 mins to spare and DS saying “don’t worry, mum, I never need the whole time in a maths exams anyway” 😭 My poor blood pressure.

TonyBlairsLover · 07/06/2022 09:02

Teacher has arrived. Switching my phone off now, good luck to everyone’s DCs

Sorry not laughing at the stress of it but it reminds me of my DH whenever we are going anywhere with a set start time.
Although I'm also guilty of only leaving narrow margins for getting anywhere on time. Our kids rebel by being super organised about leaving on time, and are often early for stuff!

SeaDogs · 07/06/2022 09:36

@Fizbosshoes I'm the opposite- if it were up to me we'd leave hours early to allow time for flat tyres, prangs, gridlock etc etc 😂 I think DS quite enjoys the idea of sauntering into the room at 8.59 though!

Silkierabbit · 07/06/2022 09:48

Yes totally relaxed about exam starting times here as well - before half term 10 mins late to one and panicked call from school but still had full time, tbf she had a migraine that day so was tough. Yesterday 8.10am (we live about 45 mins from school with bus) DH I need a lift at 8.30am, fine but my chemo day but could work round it. Today, phew left on time for bus but very chilled out about everything here. Its good and thanks to Mr Floof but the exam time does make me a bit jittery, thankfully I am on drugs which make me drowsy so too tired to worry about it and seems to work out fine and she is doing so well with exams.

Economics paper 2 yesterday which sounds like was fine, she started economics a year late so paper 1 was hard for her as missed that year and never really got chance to catch it up.

9th chemo done, horrible there yesterday but its over. Mr Floof stayed with me for first time yesterday which cheered me up.

Had a lovely boat trip round Farne Islands in half term and trip to Holy Island was great and saw lots of puffins and seals.

Hope this week goes well for everyone. Half way here now. 13 days after today to go. Can't wait until its over.

Kaftankween · 07/06/2022 11:11

Holding my breath to hear if maths 2 any better than maths 1
