We are looking for a school for our daughter in the area and were wondering if anyone has any recent experience. She would be entering the senior school.

We considered St Nicholas for our daughter for a Year 7 entry. It looks like a lovely school but we really felt that she’d be joining as an outsider, as only a handful join at Yr 7, and they seem to put an emphasis on the family feel of the girls coming up from the younger years - we would have loved it if we had been applying at Year R or Year 3. Perhaps if you have a very confident daughter that isn’t an issue. It’s a very small school too and we had concerns about how robust it would be going forward (as my old small girls school has just gone under, as well as several others I know of).

Obviously we didn’t actually go for it so that’s probably not too helpful, sorry!

Sorry no real advice (my kids go to lord wandsworth) but know of it. It is small but that can suit some people.

Have you been to visit?

We are also looking for a school for our son. Approximately in the same area, but we can look at other offers. Because we didn't like our last school. It was too hard to study there, asked for example to write about ancient rome, we used studymoose.com/free-essays/ancient-rome for an example, because even I could not help him. And no one explained this topic. That is, my son had to find out and write everything himself. It's tough for that age.
