cedars school for boys

Can anyone provide me with some direct experience of Cedars school for boys ?
I'm considering it for my son, my concerns are the travel distance the school based on new location is difficult to get to alone and will require school bus or car. This isn't ideal for my son who struggles with time keeping.
My son also has SEN does anyone have any experience of the school in this area please ?
Finally how are boys kept stimulated considering there is no playground at this new site what happen at break time ?

Have you been to an open day? There's a large grassed area at the front of the building and the school itself is set in large grassy grounds. To be fair, I am not sure of the division between the secondaries and the little primary at the bottom of the dell but there seems to be a lot of space available.

I think the school runs a minivan from the old location to the new one and also minivans from a couple of local train stations.

My son doesn't attend this school but I have been to an open day and am considering it.

Hello yes I went for open day, but went back during a normal day and saw that during the break they were not allowed on the large grass. There is a car park in between so that maybe why, for older boys this leaves the break space tight and more like a primary school.

For a sporty boy it could be a problem at break .I understand the previous site had a lot of ground and grass and break times were more enjoyable.

Oh that's interesting, I wasn't aware that they couldn't use the fields.

Yes it seems it's reserved for games and PE, maybe if the car park wasn't in between or there was a Zebra crossing it could be used for breaks. Without an Astro the boys looked pretty I stimulated at break. They are boys so space I important.
