Hi Guys,
I have a quick question. I am looking at the secondary school around Foxrock/ Blackrock area. We just bought a house here. My older girl will start college in 2 years. I am looking at the Newpark college. Are there any children from Hollypark? I was checking the admissions instruction and they didn't include the school in the list. Is that mean that any child from Hollypark has no chances to get into this school? Did you hear anything? I am a new in this area so maybe there is something what I should know about it.
I will be very grateful for any honest answer on my question. Thanks

I have no idea what schools you are talking about (and you may wish to put the school names or the area in your title to attract people who actually do) but you will likely be able to find on your LEA's website an explanation of the basis on which places were awarded this year. This will tell you something like "only children in catchment and children out of catchment to a distance of x miles got places" or (if it's not an area with fixed catchment areas) " places were awarded to a distance of y miles". You can then work out whether you would have been offered a place based on where you live and other criteria.
The primary school is only relevant if it is part of the admissions criteria.

Which area, county, borough, country are you talking about?
