St Pauls Boys vs Latymer Upper

My son has Latymer, and has just received an offer for St Pauls. Given the possibility of the Hammersmith Bridge being closed completely ( www.mylondon.news/news/west-london-news/hammersmith-bridge-shaking-violently-drivers-23318325?fbclid=IwAR1f8sXQ0rgU9hNF10oscxBvBBrg80396qxeHImDY19z4exIfJz54EGT1j0 ) and living north of the river, is St Pauls a viable option. He would have to commute via Chiswick for 5 years, adding an hour and a half to the journey everyday. Anyone with more insight? It feels like a bit of a gamble...

Can't he walk or cycle? St Paul's is just a short walk across the bridge, why would he need to commute via Chiswick?

The bridge was closed even to pedestrians in the past... it can happen again...

Tbh “My London news” isn’t a reliable source of credible info.
The bridge is open for pedestrians now, and everything will be done to keep it that way as repairs take place. Of course there is a small risk it might close again, but if you think SPS is the best school for him, I would go for it. They are very different schools imho.

Very different schools ( not least because one is Co-Ed!). Lots of boys turn down one for the other so no right answer. Go with gut feel!
