I’m sick if falling down JQC wormholes that lead nowhere. Every other school seems to have theirs published online except DD’s.

I need the combined one as she’s doing a mix of 3 exam boards. Why is this so hard?!

You can look it up on each exam boards page, just google 'Edexel GCSE history 2022 date' or whatever.

xyzandabc · 05/03/2022 19:03

There is no public combined version. You can find them all though by going to each individual exam board.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/03/2022 19:06

No combined version? Ffs! Talk about making it easy….🤬

Can't you ask the school? If you email the head of year 11 they should have one.

MaizeAmaze · 05/03/2022 19:13

Most will all line up - for the major subjects anyway. Can you imagine the carnage if board A English exam clashed with board B maths!

clary · 05/03/2022 19:57

If you google the GCSE summer 2022 timetables for each exam board she is doing you will find it. If she only has three boards it's hardly an onerous task. But in fact if you just google AQA you will find the Edexcel and OCR exams for those subjects are on the same day. They have to line up to avoid clashes.

Are you wishing to know when exams finish? If so everyone must be available on National contingency day which this year is Wednesday 29th June.

oviraptor21 · 05/03/2022 21:27

Does that mean that the last exam will be Wed 29th June - and that's a non scheduled date to fit in any exams that haven't happened for whatever reason?

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/03/2022 21:32

What is national contingency day and why do we have to be in the country?

In case any exams get rescheduled for any reason.

Don't forget stuff like prom is usually after the end of exams too if your child is wanting to go.

In case of emergency and exams need to be rescheduled, they are moved to the contingency date.
ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/03/2022 21:41

Ok, so it’s like a reserve day just in case?

I want to go on holiday as it’s cheaper around then.

National contingency day "will be used if a significant, unexpected event arises nationally or locally during the exam period such that no students (or a large number of them) are able to take an exam when planned."

Basically for incidents such as Grenfell or the Manchester arena bombing that affect children's ability to perform at their best. We have had these for a few years now. Exams may finish earlier than the 29th but all students need to be available for the 29th. Ds finishes on the 27th. I think most will finish the Thursday before which is AQA science exam.

If you are looking to book a holiday don't forget prom and any taster day they may have to sit for their sixth form.

But sadly yes you need to look up each exam board separately and make your own timetable although school do sometimes provide these.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/03/2022 21:53

Dd and her friends don’t want to go to prom🤷🏼‍♀️So just induction day. We were only going for a few days.

You're fine to go, just after 29th!
