Hi everyone,
We will be moving to Milton Keynes in this summer . My daughter will go to year6 after summer holidays .Our areas of interest will depend mainly on the shool place and safety. How about Ousedale School & Oakgrove school in milton keynes? MK 16 is safety area If we rental here. Any better secondary schools with a good chance of getting a place ? Your suggestions will be helpful for us to decide.
Thanks

Most (all?) secondary schools in Milton Keynes adopt catchment areas and it's hard to get into them (particularly the better regarded ones) if you don't live in catchment. However if you do live in catchment you are normally ok (some secondary schools you will also have to attend a feeder school, so something to bear in mind when looking for a Year 6 place - although you may be at the mercy of where you can get a space). You can see the allocation profile for this year here on the Milton Keynes school admissions website. I'm not sure MK16 will be in catchment for Oakgrove?

If you are looking at living on the east side of the town (for M1 access?) it may be easier to get places in Walton High or Kents Hill Park (Walton High was always historically oversubscribed, but is now subject - at Walnut Tree campus anyway - to an older local population and Kents Hill Park taking away some of the local intake).
