Tonbridge Junior Foundation Scholarship

Anyone have any experience of what to expect for the English and Maths tests for Tonbridge? These are specifically for the Jnr Foundation award sitting in a couple of weeks. Son in year 6 currently. Thanks

We sat this last year and there was no information on what the exam would look like though I think we were told it would be a written Maths and English test.

There were no past papers so we just used papers from other schools to prepare just like we would prepare for any written exam. I had to remind my son to show all his working in maths including the simplest ones. English was a defined writing task, completing a story.

He spent the whole day there so the exam was just a part of the whole day. He was interviewed by different people, can't remember how many now .
My last words to him on the day was that as much as we would really like him to win an award, we understand how competitive it is and we just want him to give it his best and enjoy the day. He really did enjoy the experience.
