best cardiff schools and area to move

We are planning to move from west Wales to Cardiff, the idea is to get our kid into good school in year 10 [age 14 years]
Please guide best area to rent so he gets admission into good/outstanding school

Hi Rmehta, we are planning to move to cardiff as well, my son is in year 9, would be great if you can let me know which school did you choose since we are very much confused with the school, we were thinking of Cardiff high but seems to be over subscribed. Therefore, is there any other school which you think will be suitable?
