Long term teacher absence

Please help, my daughter has the same teacher for 2 subjects (technical) in 3rd year (Scottish high school)
The teacher has been off since September, now January. Her class does not have regular access to a tech teacher and I worry my DD will fall behind in 2 subjects.
What should the school be doing or offering to mitigate this situation?
My daughter is starting to worry as she needs these subjects to gain access to the career she wishes to have.

Any advice would be helpful.

Clearly a spam bot above....have you spoken to the school? What did they say? Do you have evidence that her grades are slipping with e.g. mock results?

Go and enquire with the school authority about the current status of the teacher, whether they resign or go for a long vacation

This is confidential and they won’t tell you anything.

Is 3rd year same as Year 9? The school can only do what they can do. They will have found the best teacher they can for that role. Supply teachers are in short supply at the moment.
