My daughter is 8 and in the process of being assessed for some development delay. This wasn’t raised until year 2 and although she struggles with maths/English she is thriving in other areas. The secondary state schools in the immediate area are not great (as confirmed by teaching friends) and I’m slightly worried about our options when it comes to secondary given she won’t do the Kent exam.
We could go down the private route but I’m aware this might be difficult as well. She doesn’t need 1:1 support but will need smaller classes and some more learning support. Has anyone been in a similar predicament? Any recommendations of independent secondary’s in Kent who do cater for some SEN? Sorry all very new to this!
