Sixth Form

My child currently goes to a single sex state grammar school. She doesn't particularly enjoy it and wants to leave for sixth form. I am considering sending my child to a private school for sixth form. I'm thinking Epsom College or Freemens? If anyone has children there or have been to the school, opinions on the 2 would be great.

I'd suggest reposting with the sixth form names or the area in your title. You are more likely to attract the attention of someone who knows them.

Freemen’s is lovely at sixth form especially with their new sixth form centre which is beautiful. This may surprise you but from my understanding they can be more flexible with who gets in at 16 than Epsom. History department has a fabulous rep as well as Maths. Only 3 A-levels available unless you take further math and most take EPQ so worth considering options. Freemen’s keeps up a lot of contact time into A-level - not sure about Epsom, but consider whether your DD want more freedom as although the sixth formers are given a lot of on-site privileges they are still expected to be there for similar hours to the rest of the school. The Oxbridge rate is higher at Freemen’s but I’m not certain about medics.
