DS is 7. He is bright, but not really interested in anything academic and loves football and golf. When should we start thinking about tutoring and how often? Can anyone in Manchester recommend a reputable agency.

Why not look at their prep school?
They can enter at various ages

Thanks. He loves his primary school, but actually the prep might be a good option. Do you know if they have occasional places. We live in Didsbury. Does anyone know if there is a bus that runs from here?

The bus links are on the website I think (sorry, I don’t know off the top of my head but I’ve definitely seen them on there!)

From memory there might be a stop east Didsbury way, but any closer (the village / west Didsbury) you’d be looking at the 143 / 142 which isn’t ideal for prep but fine for seniors

Yes they run the buses from near the cinema. Depends on how adamant on him going there & how much spare cash you have? The local state schools are very very good too - no bad options.
But facilities at MGS are amazing if you don't mind it being all boys. Lots go at year 3

If just high, most tutor for the whole of Yr5 and maybe some of Yr4 btw

@explodingeyes Thank you so much.
