How much work over holidays for 11 plus

How much work are you planning for your dc with 11 plus exams to do over the holidays? And what will they focus on at this stage?

When are you taking yours? Our 11+ is next september so we are having a break over Christmas- mock test at Easter though and will do some tuition along side the tutor group when school goes back.

My son has exams first week of January. So it feels important to keep going at this stage, while letting him have some well earned rest and fun too.

Ah that is a much trickier balance! Some rest will be good and to a certain extent if its not known by now its a bit late. Do you have thise "10 min test books" . We used those one a day towards the end with my eldest to do "something" that wasn't a full mock.

You want to build up confidence too and attitude rather than goig in panicking or thinking they cant do it. A "yeah I've got this" however you work it over the break.

Also at this stage worth gently thinking around what plan B will be if there are restrictions. What did the school do last year - supervised onlinebtests etc? Just so its not a sudden last minute changem
