Can we apply to more than one sixth form?

As the title states really! My son is in year 11 and there is no sixth form at his academy. He is undecided about his third a level choice, which is where the problem lies. If he wants to do psychology, it rules out one of the local sixth forms. But, if he decides to go for physics, he has lots of choices of sixth forms. They all require applications to be in by the end of January.

Would we able to officially apply for a few sixth forms, then decide which one on results day, when hopefully he will have made a decision about subjects?

His current school are useless and want them all to go to the linked sixth form and so aren’t really open to discussing other sixth forms.

Yes you can apply and hold offers from multiple sixth forms until results day.

Absolutely! In fact it's a good idea if different 6th forms have different entry requirements or ask for specific grades for individual subjects. Gives you a range of options in case results don't go as planned.
