My boy has just been accepted for a Yr 10 boarding place at Bedford next year, may I have some feedback about the school please? Positive, negative, or anything I should be aware of as a full boarder's parent.

Very good school and excellent pastoral care. Very caring headmaster and overall caring ethos. They take both their academics and sport seriously but not to the detriment of either. House atmosphere is very warm in our experience and Masters are strict but fair. I'm sure you won't regret sending him there.

Thank you so much for the feedback Your2Nice, this gives us more confidence to consider the offer for our boy. As we are non-UK residence hence worry that if there are bullying in the school our boy cannot seek help from us.

May I ask also how would you compare Bedford with another boy school Whitgift? Our boy has been selected to the final round of admission by Whitgift also. We saw some reports on media about bullying, drugs and sexual assaults happened in that school. Is it common for this kind of problems in boys schools? The media reports did may us worry when we consider sending our boy to a boy school.
