DD is year 10 and not very mathematically minded. She’s finding physics the hardest science but wants to do well. Can you recommend any resources to help her? She’s learnt the equations and symbols but is still finding it a bit tricky to get her head around the concepts etc. They’re currently doing electricity.

Has she got the cgp books? They’re very good - I’d start with that. My two found them useful for all the sciences. They didn’t use the bbc bite size much but am guessing that might be worth a look too.

Freesciencelessons on youtube. He is the best. Clear, informative and straight to the actual information Smile

Thank you so much. She’s not tried the books so I’ll have a look at them. Just had a quick look at free science lesson videos and they’re brilliant.

Another fan of CGP books here, but DS struggled with them due to his dyslexia, the page layouts made it confusing. However the fact they also came with free online versions that he could change font size and his screen colour for, helped him.

What he did like using were the revision modules on Mathsmadeeasy (physics section). Very clear, informative, videos good. Didn’t need to pay, just used the stuff that was available for free.
