Hello dear parents,
I am looking for a tutor (Probably online these days :( ...)for my 9yo to practice for the 10+ and probably 11+ exams as I am becoming an angry, impatient, horrible mum at the moment!
I know they don't come cheap, but I have had quotes for around 75-90 ph! I was hoping to stay within the 55 mark. Is it not realistic? Online!!....
Any help, suggestion appreciated!
Thanks

Whereabouts are you based? Or which schools will you be aiming for?

Atom Learning. You can mix up online class lessons (which are included in the package) with 1-1 tuition with their tutors.

Meredusoleil , we are trying 10+ at City this year just to see how these exams feel like, but my major goal is to get my DS ready to try 5-6 shortlisted selectives next year. So far the list is: Dulwich, Alleyn, Eltham, Colfe, Whitgift, Highgate. We will move according where he gets into. The list might change after visiting. I had a feeling grammars were even harder to get into but I know some selectives are also super selective!

From the list you’ve given, I presume your SE London ? I’m based there too, and have been using a company called NEGU.
£30 per hour. My DD has been having tutoring with them for only 3 weeks, and has made great progress. Can highly recommend Hilary. PM me if you have any questions.

Hi there
We live in SE London and tried the 10+ for City of London Boys and Emanuel. My son prepared for 4 months and a half and we had a tutor two hours a week (£40 per hour face to face) during that time. And he passed for both schools :). If interested in getting our tutor's details, please message me. He has a good track record and is not overly expensive!!

Ours comes v highly recommended, esp for top-tier London schools. Son starting WUS year4 in Sept, daughter taking 11+ this year. Not cheap, but the small group lessons will be more affordable for most. Makes everything possible, and instils the drive needed in students. PM if interested.
