My y11 boy is quite keen to leave his current selective grammar for a sixth form college for A levels. Any suggestions of where to look? We are in N16, Woodhouse looks great but too far away. He's quite shy and not one for the strictest regimes.

The NCS in East London is meant to be very good and I heard they are opening a partner school in north london, HHCS - which is a new academic 6th form in Highgate Hill. I will be checking that out,

Is he at QEB now?

What about Dame Alice Owens, Latymer or St Michael's Grammar, all of whom take the QEB surplus every year? (The latter takes boys in the sixth form but may be too small and nurturing for him.)
