SW consortium (Parmiter’s Vs SCD)

Hi there, my son scored full marks in the exams on the SW consortium exams and is outside the catchment area for all the schools. I believe Parmiter’s offer one place for outside and St Clements Danes doesn’t look at catchment. Can any one tell me the difference between these two schools? We only managed to so SCD as we didn’t think our son would stand a chance for Parmiter’s but as he scored full marks there is a small chance he could get a place.. he is very good in maths and music so these are the two departments we are interested in. However, his English is not bad but not as high as the other two so a school who can cater for spikey quirky kids is good!

I went to SCD (though 20+ years ago now!) and music provision was excellent. Can't comment on Parmiters, but while there were some things which could have been improved I can't speak highly enough of the music provision at SCD. Maths was pretty good as well (often a correlation between the skills!). The head of music is, I think, still a member of staff that was there when I was.
