Question about Central Foundation Boys and distance

Hi. We live 2.6 miles from the school. I haven’t really considered CFB as, based on the offer distances of previous years, it seemed very unlikely that DS would be offered a place (especially as he’s likely to be band A or B, based on his performance at primary). It may be deadline-induced madness, but now I’m wondering if I’ve been too pessimistic and should put it down anyway. Does anyone know the furthest distance offer from the waiting list / post-March? Is the waiting list still ordered by bands? Thanks!

I have heard good things about CFS. Really improved over the years. You will have done well to get a place!

Did you put it down in the end? We got a place last year 1.46 miles away (Band A) and have chosen it over NBH

...should have said we were on their waitlist. You can find the distances here www.centralfoundationboys.co.uk/admissions
