Will GCSE resits in November 2021 be as difficult as ‘normal’ years?

DS is resitting a GCSE in November as recommended by his school. He’s obviously having to revise the whole syllabus which means teaching himself bits that weren’t covered. The mark he gets will subsequently be much harder earned than other grades received this year. Just wondering if this will be allowed for in any way?

As far as I’m aware, yes they will be as difficult.

Thought so it seems pretty unfair but he’ll have to just do his best. Thank you.

Grade boundaries will be set to 2021 distributions so he's getting a better deal than kids who will be sitting it next year.

Or rather 2021 standards than distributions.
