Any parent here whose DC sat for the computerised CEM select exam last year?

Would really like to know if the content and structure is similar to paper version of CEM exam. If any DC sat for both paper version (mostly taken for grammar school entrance) and computerised CEM select (for independent school entrance exam adopted from last year), would really like to know the similarity.

He goes to a state primary school and he's been doing practice papers for many months Confused he is the youngest in year and at a disadvantage coming from a state primary I think?

He will sit a CEM paper entrance exam in January for another school. Does this help at all?

Meant to add, he's been doing the practice papers at home with me, not at school!

Dd was part of a test group 12 years ago and was told that the questions got harder if you were getting them right. This may no longer be the case.

Was the computerised test any where near similar to CGP CEM mock papers or any other mock papers? Heard from parents CGP CEM mock papers are the toughest.

My DS just said the CEM computerised version was harder, but only a bit harder, than the CGP ten minute test papers I get him to complete.

My DD did the pretest plus CEM Select mock paper ( very expensive) and one of the two cloze passages was near impossible in 3 minutes for a 10 year old. Any idea if the computerised version will give full cloze passage at all like the paper test version? I am very confused.

Can any one comment if cloze passage was part of the actual test as well? How hard was it?
