11plus tutor recommendation in North London

Hi All,

Would really appreciate first hand recommendations. I'm sadly not part of the mum network as I don't do pick ups and drop offs any more and the parents I do hang out with, aren't at this stage yet.

I have a dd in yr 5 who would like to go for the grammar tests but living in North London, we are in super selective territory so without some extra help, may be a stretch too far.

If anyone would be so kind as to pm details, I would be extremely grateful.

Good luck! I don't know why, but people guard this information like it's a state secret. You have to be close friends with someone before they'll tell you who their tutor is!

I had bad experiences with a tutor who just sat children around their dining room table and watched them complete worksheet after worksheet, and then gave us HOURS of homework to complete at home. I’m a primary teacher so decided to do the tutoring myself and it was so much easier with a vastly reduced workload for DC. I know that’s not an option for everyone, but just making the point that not all tutors know how to teach. Hope someone is able to give you a good recommendation!
