Heathfield School Ascot

Thinking of sending my daughter to Heathfield and would love to hear from anyone who’s had any recent experience.

Heathfield is not what it used to be. New head is inexperienced. Good for younger girls not so bright. Older girls more St Trinians. Boarding discipline non existent. Steer clear.

I Do not think that’s fair. They did lose an excellent Head who went to a bigger school and Heathfield, like a lot of second division schools, is lucky if they can get an experienced Head! Mostly these schools cannot so a new Head will have to learn quickly. Confidence and intellect help.

My DD was there and she’s bright enough! She was also well behaved, as were the other girls. Plenty of girls thrive there but it does suit arty girls best. My DD really enjoyed the art and the teaching was great.

They have not marketed to overseas parents much snd their ethos has been maintained, I think. Heads develop and as long as they do, it’s absolutely fine.
