Anyone know where the last head went? Think his name was Mr Bashaarat? My friend is looking at the school for this year and can't seem to find the story or any news on the switch to an acting head?

Surely he only just got the headship a year or so ago, after his tenure at Milton Abbey, about which there is a bit on Mn?
Sorry, OP - I can't add any useful info - just curious, as I went there years ago when, as the Good Schools Guide put it so eloquently, 'the bullying problem had got out of hand, even by Bedales standards!"

I have no info other than via Google which shows he became head in Sept 2018. Linkedin shows him as head from Sep 2018 to Sep 2021 (with the end date of Sep 21 rather than "to present" where a job is still your latest job). Search results now take you to a page showing the acting head rather than Magnus Bashaarat, even though there were articles by MB in educational magazines referring to him as head when published earlier this month.

Last week the Governor’s accepted Magnus’ resignation after he spent time reflecting over the summer. I’m sure everyone appreciates how challenging the last 18 months have been for everyone, especially teachers.
Will Goldsmith has stepped in as Acting Head, supported by a strong and established leadership team while the Governor’s commence the search for a new permanent Head.

"Reflecting over the summer" reads as code for 'jumping before he was pushed'. Sounds like there's a scandal there somewhere!
