Access arrangements assessors

DH is considering a career change. He holds a PGCE for 16+ and is also a qualified Careers Guidance officer. He has been teaching IT for many years (to business customers). He is interested in training to assess students for access arrangements for examinations. It is expensive to do the training. About £3000 I believe.
Are there reasonable employment prospects for Access arrangements assessors? There wouldn't be much point in investing effort and money if no jobs
