We are looking for a secondary school for our DD and have been thinking about Reddam House. Does anyone have children there and could you say the pros and cons of the school?

I understand there is a new Head from September and that will undoubtably have an impact on the school.

What is the proportion of boarders to day schoolers and what are class sizes like? I know it's only been open for about 6 years so are they still growing the class sizes/year groups or is it at capacity now?

How big is the catchment area for the school?

My friend’s children go there and they are very happy with it. If you don’t get other responses I can ask her for more details for you

I believe the fees are slightly higher than other local independent schools

It's fine. It used to have a shocking reputation, but that's much improved in the past few years since it was taken over by an Australian company.

Those questions you've got are ones they'd be expecting to get from parents, so why not ask directly? They're perfectly reasonable!

It's not particularly academic, but will get good results out of everyone who goes there. Beautiful environment.

Have you checked out Luckley House? It's just down the road, has a similar intake, is lovely, and is maybe more established? It's flexi-boarding, mixed and promotes positivity. It has children across the spectrum- sent kids to Oxbridge this year, but also helped weaker students achieve their full potential.

Both are good schools- but just throwing another one into the mix for you!

(Given the choice, and if my kids weren't at different schools, I'd go for Luckley)

@Curioushorse I want to trianguate the school's response with other experiences people may have had before forming an opinion
