Apps for GCSEs

Can anyone recommend apps or online resources for GCSE revision. My son struggles to write flash cards/mind maps etc and to be honest is a reluctant reviser. However he found tassomai worked and he used Seneca for revision. He hates BBC bite size.
Something for geography and English lit would be good.
Thank you

Flashcards and mindmaps are not for everyone, it's true.

I am not a fan of the idea that an app will solve all ills (not saying you are saying that either OP!). What would help is to find out how he likes to learn things and think about what things he needs to know.

For example, for Eng Lit, if he is looking at a 4/5 grade, he needs to know the text well, what happens, when, what that means, how it makes the reader feel - then some quotes to back it up but not especially long, and it's more important to be able to reference the text in a meaningful way than quote several lines with no link to the question.

What would help him do that? Quizlet is useful as it has flashcards on various themes - he could learn the answers and then test himself. Would that help? Past papers are useful, but for Eng Lit it is harder to use them unless you have some of the basics there, as the answers are essays of course. They are useful tho. Could he explain things to you - that's a really good way to learn.

@clary thank you for replying. The apps are more for learning knowledge and testing recall rather than applying knowledge. Tassomai is good for that but past papers for science are better for understanding questions.
Definitely needs to improve English lit knowledge but then I think he needs question practice too. I'll look at quizlet.
