Placing request Largs Academy

Can you live in West Kilbride and send your child to Largs Academy? Do they accept placing requests and is there a school bus?

Try asking this in the 'Scotsnet' section and you will probably get more replies.

I don't, but I looked into moving to WK a couple of years ago. From speaking to a parent at WK primary I know that the vast majority of pupils each year do placing request successfully to Largs Academy. There is not a school bus and the pupils get the train then walk up the hill together. There are lots of them travel together as trains are limited. There are also service buses. But I decided against WK as my DD has a few years left at primary and I didn't want to risk the situation changing. I don't think the catchment secondary would be suitable for her.
