Students will be able to repeat Y13 if not happy with results

Funding is being allocated so that any Y13 who feels that they have been badly affected by the pandemic will be able to resit Y13 if they aren't happy with their results.

This has barely been advertised so the Lib Dems are calling on the government to fund a promotion campaign.

Schools will need authorisation by August 13th (not long!) if they want more than 5% of pupils to do this.

Where will they physically go? All the schools I know are using every room. What will they sit on? Who will mark their work? Funding going in does not magic up suitably qualified teachers.

They'd be put in with current Y12 going into Y13 making bigger classes I'd have thought.

Bumping this, no one seems to be aware of it.

Space wouldnt be an issue at our school unless huge numbers of students wanted to do this as most (I think all) A level classes could take some more students. At worst it would decrease the number of external students the sixth form could accept.

Surely we need a bit of certainty about what A level assessments will be like in 2022 before students commit themselves?

I'm worried. My A level classes already have 26 in them. If some decide to resit I'm not sure where I'll put them
