Arden School - Knowle

Hello we are moving to the Knowle or Dorridge area. What are people’s thoughts on Arden?

It is a good school, although I went to a rival school.

I imagine it is over subscribed.

Along with Tudor Grange it is one of the sought after schools in Solihull. It is oversubscribed but late places used to come up at ver late notice as people decide to take independent school places. I would imagine it may be more competitive now that Solihull DC no longer qualify for the new catchment areas for the Birmingham grammars. There have been some rumours of a bit of a drug culture with some DC there but I don’t get the impression that drugs are more prevalent than at schools like Solihull.

I think drugs come with the territory.in most schools around Solihull these days. The DC who go to Arden largely have money (the parents need a decent amount of income to buy a house in the catchment area) so they are the target for the Birmingham drug gangs.
