if anyone knows if need get some gifts for teacher if kid going to secondary school?

Don’t need to buy nice if the teachers have been good to say thank you. My DC’s fantastic form tutor is leaving this term so we have bought a gift and will write to thank them.

The standard gift for maths teachers is wine I believe.

Red wine was known as "teacher juice" by the children. I always like the swaps table in the staff room where a teacher got something good but not to their taste and so would be willing to swap it out. Reminded me of Saturday Swap Shop (shows age)

We tended to go down the personal card route but also because I was in the school as a volunteer I could usually get the word on the street about the teacher or just straight up ask them and inform some parents in the playground as in I am getting Mr Smith X wine.

Please don't forget the teaching assistants and office staff if your child is leaving year 6.
