L2 to L3 TA

Hi could anyone clarify how a Level 2 Teaching Assistant can progress to a L3, do you need to apply for a new role or can the school support you to take further training whilst working to become level 3?

As you haven't had a response I thought I'd have a go.

I'd be amazed if you can't do the qualification alongside your job with your school enabling you to get the practical experience necessary.

However, if you repost on The Staffroom board you'll get more knowledgeable advice.
