Sorry but my head is about to explode. Have started various similar threads but still haven't got it straight.
I am moving with 2dcs (in late primary school) up to the north east to be near family - not so dear husband not coming
Have looked at Heighington, Sedgefield and darlington. Can anyone give me the names of some good secondary and primary schools?

Have you thought about Richmond? Lovely lovely town, excellent schools too. IIRC, Darlington schools could be a bit hit and miss, though we are talking a few years ago. If I were moving north, I would aim for Richmond rather than Darlington.

hi mad richmond is too far away from my parents (who will be needed for picking children up when I get a job). They live in Bishop Auckland.

Have you thought of Hurworth? Nice village just outside Darlington with a well-regarded small comprehensive. Primary is very good too.

fleur hurworth was the first place I considered but it is the wrong side of darlington for my parents
