Gentle schools in north London

Anyone have any recommendations of schools that have great pastoral care and put the happiness of the kids first. We're in a north London postcode. Don't want to travel too far!

Would you like state or independent, or don’t you mind? How do you feel about single and mixed sex?

Any and all suggestions welcome at this point in time! We're based in archway if that helps.

I think Maida Vale school might fit into that category. If it’s not too far.

Parliament Hill School , assuming you have a girl. It’s not ‘gentle’ in the sense of being small, quiet or full of shrinking violets, but the pastoral care is excellent and they’re very supportive of the girls.

What I have is mostly hearsay from children and families I know but for what it’s worth.

Not Acland Burghley, I think they mean well but the pastoral care isn’t joined up.
Not Camden School for Girls. Pastoral care is available if it’s fought for. Happiness doesn’t really seem to be on the agenda.
Parli would seem to tick the happiness box. It seems to have a joined up pastoral system and gets results whilst caring about individuals. I know girls who say they love school there. I can’t say that about AB or CSG.
I know less about William Ellis I’m afraid.
North Bridge House Hampstead has praise from a few families I kmm no ow despite often getting put down on MN.
City of London School for Girls I’ve heard good pastoral things about.

Maida Vale School

Hornsey School for Girls seems quite gentle to me. It feels caring but we’ve not needed the pastoral care so much so I can’t say from personal experience.
