Fantastic! Very pleased for you. Did he have to take a competitive test for it, or was it awarded on excellence of progress and GCSEs etc?

With the savings you will be making you can treat him to a slap-up family meal out, or whatever floats his boat

roisin · 23/11/2007 17:11

Great! Well done him

CharlesandEddie · 23/11/2007 17:13

you lucky duck and well done him!

scienceteacher · 23/11/2007 17:31

The school awards their internal sixth form scholarships based on effort, achievement in school exams and the three GCSEs they took in Year 10, and extra curricular participation.

DS did ask if he could have the money to himself....erm, No!
